Pediatric Stethoscope

The world of pediatrics is often a difficult one for young physicians, nurses, and other professionals in medicine. Pediatricians must deal with worried parents and children with common afflictions who have trouble verbalizing where they feel discomfort. Young professionals often make the error of assuming that the tools used for comparable conditions in adults and children will work in the same way. Medical students learn early that a pediatric stethoscope is an important tool in their trade.

The medical electronics company Cardionics, produces a line of electronic pediatric stethoscopes for the next generation of medical professionals. These pediatric stethoscopes include the patented E-Scope II
Electronic Stethoscope that is dedicated to hearing a variety of body sounds in young patients. The features on the E-Scope make it ideal for pediatricians of all experience levels.

Isolate Body Sounds with a Pediatric Stethoscope

This pediatric stethoscope includes a Specialist Pediatric Bell that enhances the sound while reducing outside noise. This pediatric bell is machined from high-grade stainless steel which provides an increased level of sound sensitivity. The diameter of this bell is 0.75 inches. Volume levels of heart sounds are adjusted through the fingertip control at the center of the stethoscope's chest piece. To save battery life, the E-Scope shuts off automatically after 1.5 to 2 minutes, but returns to the prior volume setting upon restart.

You can isolate a variety of body sounds using this line of pediatric stethoscopes. The E-Scope covers a wide range of sound levels from 50 to 900Hz for heart sounds and 70-2000Hz for breath sounds. The maximum amplitude is 120dB at 100Hz, leaving the competition behind in terms of sound volume and sound quality.
