Overview

The 190 year old stethoscope has just been reinvented. You won’t believe your ears! That’s a bold statement. Can we back it up? Read on.
Welcome to the E-Scope - an electronic stethoscope with great sound.
Add the Pocket Monitor – a software suite that can enhance screening and diagnostic accuracy at the patient bedside.
"I find this scope to be outstanding. It accepts a wide dynamic range of frequencies, being especially useful in detection of low frequency sounds such as third and fourth heart sounds. It has good noise rejection and requires very little adjustment to bring in sounds across the entire sound spectrum."
Morton Tavel, M.D., FACC, Indianapolis.
With the E-Scope Electronic Stethoscope and Pocket Monitor Analysis System (for PDA or PC) you will be able to:
Help Differentiate an innocent murmur from the murmur of aortic stenosis,
Estimate the pressure gradient across the aortic valve,
Identify one instance of a murmur and let pocketMONITOR identify all the others in your recording. On the PC, this feature allows you to average the murmur for a more accurate estimate of the murmur properties.
Record and play back a sound - with the E-Scope/pocketMONITOR combination. pocketMONITOR also plays back at half speed without loss in tonality - a very helpful feature for patients with fast heart rates or closely timed splits or gallops.
Compare the sound of the patient at hand with an installed database of heart sounds that can be recalled instantly,
Hearing Impaired? Cardionics has helped thousands of medical professionals with the E-Scope for ITE (in-the ear) or BTE (behind the ear) type hearing aids.
Cochlear implants? Use the E-Scope/pocketMONITOR with a prescription from your audiologist.
Paramedic? The E-Scope EMS was designed with you in mind. Hear soft breath sounds in a noisy ambulance.
One-on-One Teaching? With the E-Scope and a stethophone, you can teach one-on-one. The student and instructor hear the same sound simultaneously. Add the pocketMONITOR and you can see the sound, record and play back or analyze.
Group teaching? At the bedside, use the E-Scope, SimulScope/pocketMONITOR system and not only will the students hear the sound simultaneously with wireless Heartman Infrared Headphones, but they can see, compare and analyze the sounds on your laptop or PDA.
Neonatal monitoring? Use the E-Scope with Specialist Pediatic Bell and speaker to listen to the heart sound cadence in the NICU.
Telemedicine? The E-Scope can be used with the new Sigma Telemedicine System for home patient auscultation or clinic to clinic auscultation.
Veterinary use? Now the animal’s owner can hear heart and breath sounds simultaneously with the veterinarian.
Clinical support? Call us for a reprint of the recent article in Circulation by Morton Tavel, M.D., FACC. We‘ll be glad to send you a copy.

Would Dr. Rene Lanneac, the 1816 inventor of the stethoscope, be impressed? We think he would. We think you will be too! Cardionics has been designing and manufacturing heart and lung sounds simulators, manikins for over 35 years and the E-Scope has been on the market longer than any electronic stethoscope.
